Format and Themes

The model that has remained since its first edition is in the form of panels, interlaced intervals - "coffee and prose" - having, in the end, space reserved for questioning by the public to the speakers; presentations of scientific works, in oral and posters form; case presentation and discussion. All these activities, for different aspects, will address the theme solid waste, within the following panels:

      • Solid Waste in the context of Basic Sanitation
      • The role of universities in the training of specialists in environmental education and in the implementation of this in their own curricula
      • Formal and non-formal environmental education: who does and how does it?
      • Circular Economy, Reverse Logistics and ODS
      • Technologies for waste treatment and tailings disposal
      • How to integrate municipal, state and federal public spheres for effective implementation of PNRS in cities
      • Exchange of Practices and Management Tools in Collectors' Organizations
      • Presentation of Scientific Papers (Recommended papers for oral presentation by the reviewers, among those accepted for publication in the 10FIRS Annals)

The lecturers are a selected group of academic and scientific authorities in their respective areas, as well as entrepreneurs and professionals with outstanding activity in the field of solid waste and sustainable development.

Official programming will soon be published on this page.
